The BYD e2, positioned as a crossover model, is expected to hit the market in July. Targeting young generation consumers, the new model retains BYD’s iconic “Dragon Face” design language with a massive hexagonal dot-matrix grille and air outlets located at fog light areas.

The rear end features a more aggressive fascia than that of the front face. Taillight cluster stretches across the entire tailgate with the “BUILD YOUR DREAMS” lettering in the middle. Its sports essence is further accentuated by a black diffuser. Based on BYD’s e platform, the e2 may have a NEDC-rated range up to 360km according to the “EV360” emblem at the rear end.

BYD S2

The BYD S2 is said to go on sales in June, while the presale is likely to start in May. Adopting BYD's iconic “Dragon Face” design language, the S2 features a large-sized dot-matrix grille as well. On the top of grille is a U-shaped chrome trim that resembles an upward-sloping dragon beard. The rear end looks similar to the Yuan EV, while is devoid of a spare tire on the tailgate.

Besides, the BYD S2 will be fitted with the panoramic sunroof, luggage rack and blackened 8-spoke rims, and offer rear-view mirrors in different colors based on variants. The relatively high waistlines are able to elevate the overall visual center of gravity.

Powering the vehicle will be a 70kW permanent magnet motor paired with a ternary-lithium battery pack. Using such powertrain, the vehicle features a combined range of 305km and can run at a top speed of 101km/h.
