China’s supplier Tuopu Group sets up skateboard chassis subsidiary
Chinese auto parts supplier Ningbo Tuopu Group “Tuopu”) announced earlier this week it intends to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Hangzhou Bay New District, Ningbo city to develop skateboard chassis business.

The subsidiary, named Tuopu Skateboard Chassis Ningbo) Co., Ltd., was officially incorporated on Feb. 10, 2022, according to the enterprise database Tianyancha. Involving a registered capital of 2 billion yuan $314.391 million the newborn company features a line of business covering the R&D, manufacturing, wholesale and retail of auto parts.
Tuopu said the skateboard chassis can be used to rapidly build the vehicle models that stand out from their rival products, so as to lower development cost and shorten development period for automakers. It has a lineup with abundant products including suspension system, brake-by-wire system and steer-by-wire system and the chassis tuning capability. Besides, it has had cooperation with RIVIAN on the skateboard chassis business.
Tuopu also noted it will build a factory in Hangzhou Bay New District to integrate the aforementioned resources and modules into a platform, in a bid to offer the clients of the regions nearby and overseas markets the skateboard chassis products with high performance, decent quality and low cost.
