Built upon this agreement, both entities will leverage their respective resources and strengths to embark on collaborative ventures, ranging from system control to the development of core components, ultimately creating safe, intelligent, and cutting-edge intelligent steering products. Furthermore, the collaboration emphasizes setting industry-leading standards for quality and manufacturing, jointly advancing the commercial application of intelligent steer-by-wire technology.

During the signing ceremony, in-depth discussions took place regarding industry trends and the direction of their collaboration. Both parties expressed confidence that this strategic partnership will facilitate the creation of more deeply integrated intelligent steer-by-wire chassis technology and products. The goal is to expedite the rapid implementation of intelligent steer-by-wire technology within the Geely Group and global markets.

As a leading provider of steer-by-wire technology, Schaeffler has consistently committed to driving the application and development of this technology. Based on its foundation in steer-by-wire technology, Schaeffler has developed a range of intelligent steer-by-wire and chassis application solutions. These include RWS (rear-wheel steering system), the e2HPS (electro-hydraulic power steering system), intelligent steer-by-wire angle modules, and more integrated concepts for steer-by-wire chassis. Schaeffler's RWS has already gone into mass production, and the e2HPS for commercial vehicles is on the verge of production. Additionally, Schaeffler plans to commence production of key components for steer-by-wire systems around 2025, followed by the introduction of a fully integrated complete steer-by-wire system.
