The G9 is said to start small-scale delivery as early as the end of August and large-scale delivery in September. Nonetheless, with the current material supply logjam in the industry, the rumored presale and delivery schedule remains uncertain.

The G9 is XPeng’s first global market-oriented model, first showcased at the 2021 Auto Guangzhou last November. The flagship smart SUV model features XPeng’s XPILOT 4.0 ADAS, X-EEA 3.0 highly integrated hardware electronic and electrical architecture, and the new-generation XPower 3.0 powertrain. The vehicle supports high-performance chips, allowing advanced intelligent assistant driving and an enhanced smart cockpit.

The G9 is the first production model to adopt the XPILOT 4.0 system. OTA time can be shortened to within 30 minutes based on the architecture.

Moreover, the G9 is powered by an 800V high-voltage SiC platform, reaching a maximum charging power of 480kW. Notably, XPeng said that the company is also preparing for mass-production of 480kW high-voltage charging piles in China in the future.
