Harnessing the advantageous resources and production capacity of DPCA's global benchmark factory, this agreement is a pivotal step in Dongfeng's "Leap Forward Action" for NEVs. Capitalizing on the synergies of group manufacturing resources, it underlines Dongfeng's commitment to advancing its NEV initiatives. Dongfeng's manufacturing headquarters, with rich experience in electrification and automation, joins forces with DPCA's profound manufacturing system, aspiring to jointly create a benchmark electric and intelligent vehicle model.
Behind the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement for the first NEV model between Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company and DPCA lies a comprehensive acknowledgment of DPCA's manufacturing quality, cost advantages, and delivery assurance capabilities. DPCA's manufacturing quality ranks at the forefront within the Stellantis group, with the Wuhan factory leading among the 52 factories, and the Chengdu factory securing the fifth position.
Simultaneously, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle and DPCA have initiated work on their first strategic model. This involves assembling specialized teams in finance, procurement, quality, manufacturing, and information systems. The project's clear work plan, established communication mechanisms among the three entities, and systematic delineation of work boundaries demonstrate a dedicated effort to advance the project's implementation.
