Shanghai (ZXZC)- In October 2023, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") achieved remarkable sales figures, showcasing an impressive upward trajectory. The company sold a total of 131,308 new vehicles, marking a substantial year-on-year growth of 31.04%. What's even more noteworthy is that this growth trend has persisted for ten consecutive months, resulting in a cumulative sales figure of 995,353 vehicles from January to October this year, reflecting a solid 10.29% increase year-on-year.

October was an exceptional month for GWM, as it recorded an all-time high in monthly sales for both its new energy vehicle (NEV) business and overseas markets. In the NEV segment, the company sold 30,551 vehicles (including commercial vehicles), representing a phenomenal 178.9% year-on-year surge and a substantial 39.50% month-on-month jump. In the overseas markets, 35,350 vehicles were sold, reflecting an impressive year-on-year soar of 67.92%.

Looking at the cumulative figures for the first ten months of the year, GWM's NEV sales reached 200,897 units, zooming up 86.24% from a year ago. In the overseas markets, the company achieved sales of 247,046 units, marking a substantial 86.03% year-on-year leap.

The HAVAL brand performed exceptionally well in October, with sales of 78,698 units, marking a robust year-on-year growth of 23.43%. The brand's NEV segment recorded a sales volume of 9,212 vehicles, showcasing a staggering 204% year-on-year increase and an 83% month-on-month growth. The HAVAL Menglong PHEV, which hit the market on October 10, quickly gained popularity, with 5,084 units sold in its debut month. 

In contrast, the WEY brand reported a 7.05% year-on-year decline in sales for October, which came in at 2,256 vehicles. However, the brand put its first-ever product in the MPV category, the WEY Gaoshan MPV, onto the market on October 18. This addition to the lineup, along with the WEY Blue Mountain, creates a dual flagship offering with six or seven seats to cater to a diverse range of consumer needs.

The NEV-dedicated ORA brand continued its impressive sales streak, with 10,826 vehicles sold in October, representing a 94.29% year-on-year spike and marking the sixth consecutive month with sales exceeding 10,000 units.

The TANK brand, known for its off-roader SUVs, reported a remarkable year-on-year sales hike of 73.33%, selling 22,105 units in October. Cumulatively, the TANK brand has exceeded 330,000 units sold to date, solidifying its position as a popular choice among consumers seeking off-road and adventure-ready vehicles.

Great Wall Pick-up sold 17,333 vehicles last month, a 10.42% year-on-year rise. Over the first ten months of the year, it achieved a cumulative sales figure of 170,007 units, securing an impressive domestic market share of nearly 50%. In anticipation of even greater success, the company initiated nationwide pre-sales for its high-performance premium pick-up, the Shanhai Poer Performance Edition, which is set to hit the market at the Auto Guangzhou 2023.
