JAC Group Jan. export volume jumps 42.25% YoY
China’s auto player, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group JAC Group saw month-on-month growth in its January sales, with booming performances overseas, the automaker announced on February 11th.

According to JAC Group, the group sold 52,000 vehicles in January, increasing 22.69% from a month ago, but dropping 10.64% year on year. On the other hand, JAC group is doing exceptionally well in foreign markets, with a growing export volume in the first month of 2022.
The commercial vehicle sector of the group sold a total of 27,000 vehicles, surging 66.58% from December last year.
With a slew of new models hitting the domestic market, JAC’s pickup sector realized an over 51% year-on-year growth in January, with over 5,000 vehicles sold.
Moreover, the company’s sales volumes in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia also set new records, JAC Group said.
Meanwhile, JAC Group sold a total of 24,000 passenger vehicles in January, rising 6.92% year on year. Notably, the group sold 16,000 battery-electric vehicles, soaring 89.49% compared to the previous year. JAC Group contributed the win to its “user-driven digitalization” business strategy for its SEHOL new energy sub-brand.
Additionally, in the first month of 2022, even challenged by the COVID pandemic, JAC Group managed to export more than 10,000 vehicles overseas, representing a 42.25% jump from 2021. According to the company’s report, in January, JAC Group sold 1,043 vehicles in Mexico, more than tripled year on year.
