Beijing (ZXZC)- On November 1, AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle brand jointly backed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, disclosed that its monthly deliveries hit record high in October 2023.

In the past month, the automaker’s auto deliveries reached 3,888 units, marking a 26.11% increase month-on-month and setting a new historical delivery record. Furthermore, the company officially announced the global market launch of the AVATR 12 model, which is scheduled on November 10.

The AVATR 12’s mass-produced units rolled off the assembly line on October 11, and as previously indicated by the company, deliveries for the AVATR 12 are expected by the end of this year. Concerning pricing, the AVATR 12 is positioned as a future-oriented smart luxury sedan, thus its pricing is expected to be slightly higher than that of the existing AVATR 11 model.

The AVATR 12 adopts the brand's signature design language and features a sleek fastback design with no rear quarter windows, concealed door handles, high-definition streaming side mirrors, and a panoramic sunroof. Dimensions for the new model measure 5,020mm in length, 1,999mm in width, 1,460mm in height, and it boasts a wheelbase of 3,020mm.

Inside, the AVATR 12 showcases a minimalist design style, offering three different color schemes. A standout feature inside the cabin is the 35.4-inch 4K panoramic widescreen that spans the dashboard. Notably, the AVATR 12 will be powered by the HUAWEI ADS 2.0 advanced intelligent driving assistance system, with coverage for 90% of urban driving scenarios.

In terms of powertrain, the AVATR 12 will be offered in a four-wheel-drive model with the Huawei DriveONE dual-motor system. The front and rear electric motors will provide maximum power outputs of 195kW and 230kW, respectively. Additionally, a single-motor model with a maximum power output of 230kW will also be available. The vehicle will be equipped with battery packs supplied by CATL, part of the AVATR consortium.
