Tesla Model Y Performance version rises on price in China by 14,000 yuan
Beijing (ZXZC)- On October 27, Tesla announced an immediate price increase of 14,000 yuan for the Model Y Performance version in China, with the adjusted starting price now at 363,900 yuan.

However, prices for the Rear-Wheel-Drive Standard Range and Long-Range versions of the Model Y remain unchanged at 263,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan, respectively. Tesla's official website indicates a lead-time of 2-6 weeks for the Model Y Performance version.
Earlier this month, Tesla China introduced upgrades to the Model Y, making minor exterior and interior enhancements. The new Model Y features multi-color ambient lighting similar to the refreshed version of the Model 3 in the interior. The dashboard trim and front door trim panels now incorporate tech textile materials.
In terms of exterior updates, the vehicle now boasts redesigned 19-inch Gemini wheels. Additionally, the Rear-Wheel-Drive version's 0-100 km/h acceleration has improved by 1 second, now at 5.9 seconds, while the Long-Range version maintains its 5-second acceleration time. The Model Y Performance version continues to offer a powerful 3.7-second acceleration.
In mid-October, Tesla began deliveries of the upgraded Tesla Model Y in China.
According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 74,073 vehicles in September. Specifically, wholesale volume of the Model Y came in at 53,249 units, which ranked second by sales among other passenger vehicle models in China last month, following the BYD Song (62,840 units).
