This marks a significant milestone as it was the first large-scale overseas export of pure electric new energy vehicles by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor.
Israel's one-time purchase of 400 units of the Dongfeng Forthing Leiting EVs signifies a major breakthrough for the company in international markets as it pivots towards new energy vehicles.
Dongfeng Forthing has set a strategic goal to achieve 100% electrification among its products within three years. The Leiting, a compact pure electric SUV, is the first representative of Dongfeng Forthing's comprehensive transition to new energy vehicles.
The Leiting hit the market on March 26 this year, offering seven variants with a price range of 129,000 yuan to 229,900 yuan.
Measuring 4,600mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,680mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715mm, the Leiting features an efficient 150kW electric motor delivering 340N·m of peak torque and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds.
The vehicle incorporates Huawei's TMS 2.0 heat pump management system, coupled with the innovative nine-valve integration technology to mitigate issues related to low temperatures, such as power loss, reduced range, and battery capacity degradation. It's available in two CLTC-rated range options of 430km and 630km.
