Shanghai (ZXZC)- On September 21st, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") and Autoliv officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Baoding, marking the beginning of a new phase in their long-standing partnership.

Under this agreement, both parties will engage in close collaboration in various areas, including the development and application of cutting-edge safety technologies, sustainable development, and the expansion of overseas business. The focus will be on the R&D of common solutions, integrated development of restraint systems, leveraging each other's strengths, and achieving deep supply chain integration and technological synergy. Together, they will explore the forefront of electronic, intelligent, and integrated technology applications, further enhancing GWM's competitiveness in overseas markets.

Wei Jianjun, GWM’s chairman, expressed that over the course of more than 20 years of cooperation, both sides have established strong ties. He believes that the latest agreement signing marks the beginning of a new journey, and both parties will engage in comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in areas such as platformization, commonality, and innovative technology to provide diversified security for future mobile travel.

On September 21st and 22nd, Autoliv showcased its cutting-edge products at GWM, presenting and exchanging ideas on new technologies and solutions. This included safety system solutions for electric vehicles and intelligent cockpits, extended applications of car external protection systems, and the R&D of new materials for sustainable development.
