Not long ago, in November 2021, InventChip landed hundreds of millions of yuan in it’s A+/A++ rounds of investments. The series were led by China’s tech giant, Xiaomi, with GAC Capital, and CATL participating in the rounds.

XPeng’s recent exclusive strategic investment in the semiconductor startup signifies InventChip’s growing reputation in the auto industry. The funding will help the startup expand its market share and enhance its R&D abilities. The funds will also be used as operational capital, helping the company recruit more talents in the respective field.

Founded in 2017, InventChip is a high-tech semiconductor company focusing on SiC power devices and driver/control IC product development. After three years of research and development, InventChip has become the first Chinese company that can produce 6” SiC MOSFET products and technology platforms.

With years of effort and experience, InventChip successfully deployed its products to the automotive electronics market. Up to now, the company has produced over 400,000 units of its self-developed SiC MOSFET. Meanwhile, the company also introduced a slew of SiC products for electric vehicle charging pile modules.
