Great Wall Motor, Ping An, CAICT to jointly establish automotive industry big data application lab
Beijing (ZXZC)- On September 5, Chinese legacy automaker Great Wall Motor, insurance giant Ping An, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) signed a cooperation agreement to build a joint innovation laboratory for automotive industry big data application.

This collaborative initiative, grounded in data security and compliance, aims to undertake research and specialized cooperation in areas such as industry development, technological innovation, and financial services. The partners will leverage user behavior to pioneer digital products and algorithm models, ultimately enhancing the quality of user services. Additionally, they intend to establish an industrial Internet application platform and ecosystem for "car + life," collectively exploring innovative applications of industrial big data.
Great Wall Motor, catering to a global user base, is committed to providing intelligent and eco-friendly mobility services, positioning itself as a global intelligent technology company. The company has made significant strides in various technology domains, including big data, artificial intelligence, and digital twinning.
Ping An, with various automotive and user related service platforms that focuses on the vehicle, users, and lifestyle, boasts over 200 million users closely tied to the automotive sector.
On the other hand, CAICT is a research institution directly under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, serving as the sole domestic industry innovation platform bridging all aspects of the information and communication sector, from decision support to new technology research, standard development, testing, certification, and industry promotion.
This tripartite collaboration is centered on user requirements and aims to promote the development of the automotive and financial industries. Leveraging their respective resources and expertise in smart automobiles, financial insurance, industrial research, and vehicle owner operations, the partners will utilize advanced technologies like large-scale modeling and privacy computing. They will work together to facilitate business cooperation and innovative models in data interaction, mutual trust, market analysis, research, and industry services. All of this will occur while ensuring data security and compliance. Their combined efforts will encompass user-behavior-based digital products, collaborative research modeling methods, the application of privacy computing platforms, and the enhancement of intelligent claims processing. This holistic approach will empower users, create economic and societal value, and foster deep integration and mutually beneficial cooperation across the automotive industry, mobility sector, and data applications.
