Part of the company's upcoming vehicle lineup includes models with a weight as low as 9 tonnes, and they are expected to be priced significantly lower than the existing new energy heavy truck offerings, marking a potential price reduction of up to a hundred thousand yuan. Meanwhile, ZERON plans to put two new models onto market by the end of this year.

Established in June 2022, the company was jointly established by Huang Zehua, former co-founder and engineering partner of leading autonomous driving company TuSimple, and Zhang Hongsong, former General Manager of SANY and Vice President at Beijing Foton Daimler.

Drawing on his industry expertise, Huang Zehua emphasized the need for mutual understanding between autonomous driving technology and the vehicles themselves, a challenge he aims to address through his collaboration with car-making veteran, Zhang Hongsong.

The successful completion of a 140-million-yuan Pre-A round funding, announced recently, further underscores ZERON's trajectory. This funding will be allocated to support initial vehicle production, core subsystem R&D, autonomous driving algorithm refinement, talent acquisition, and ongoing business expansion.
