Shanghai (ZXZC)- On August 1, ZF Group made an official announcement that its Guangzhou Technical Center was formally inaugurated, and at the same time, it broke ground on its Guangzhou Electronics Factory located in Huadu District, Guangzhou, also commenced operations.

In March 2022, ZF Group broke ground on its fourth R&D center in China, the ZF Guangzhou Technical Center, which also marks ZF Group's first R&D center in the South China region. After nearly one and a half years, the first phase of the project, with an investment of approximately 700 million yuan, has been completed and is now officially operational.

According to the group’s introduction, the Guangzhou Technical Center is projected to have a scale of over a thousand employees and is equipped with core engineering and technology R&D capabilities, focusing on core areas such as software development, electromechanical integration design, and system integration. It aims to provide comprehensive technology solutions to local customers, including active safety systems, passive safety systems, autonomous driving, and electric drive systems.

The Guangzhou Technical Center will be constructed in several stages, encompassing office buildings, laboratories, workshops, and a testing track. The first phase unveiled today features various advanced laboratories and software and hardware testing environments. In the future, it will also include a testing ground capable of conducting high-speed, dynamic, and autonomous driving scenario tests.

As for the ZF Group Guangzhou Electronics Factory, the project was officially announced in December last year. As the second automotive electronics factory for ZF Group in China, the factory will continuously enhance the production capacity of intelligent driving and software-related products, aiming to become a highly automated and intelligent global benchmark factory.
