Beijing (ZXZC)- On July 25, the grand opening ceremony of WeEn Semiconductors’ WeEn Jinshan Module Factory was held in the Shanghai Bay Area’s High-tech Zone, marking the official commencement of operations for WeEn's first-ever global module factory.

The WeEn Jinshan Module Factory will primarily focus on producing various types of power module products used in consumer electronics, communication devices, new energy applications, and the automotive sector. 

Situated within the Shanghai Bay Area, the WeEn Jinshan Module Factory covers an impressive area of 11,000 square meters. Construction of the facility began in August 2022 and was completed with quality and fire safety inspections in April 2023. With an investment of approximately 200 million yuan and fully owned by WeEn Semiconductors, the Jinshan Module Factory has integrated over a hundred of the most advanced power module production and testing equipment in the industry to meet the market's demands for various module products.

Notably, WeEn Semiconductors has also established an advanced packaging R&D center dedicated to the development and mass production of cutting-edge packaging technology and research on new materials.

The WeEn Jinshan Module Factory will enhance WeEn Semiconductors’ efficiency in its entire industrial layout and service offerings. Apart from producing state-of-the-art SCR/FRD/IGBT/SIC modules, the factory will introduce innovative modules and packaging services tailored for the automotive and renewable energy markets, aiming to provide customers and partners with an enhanced experience.

According to the plan, the first batch of products from the WeEn Jinshan Module Factory will be shipped to Chinese and overseas customers in the fourth quarter of 2023.
