The all-new MPV under DENZA, a premium auto brand majority owned by BYD, has been caught in spy shots, which were recently released by Zhao Changjiang, the director of BYD's high-end brand preparation office, on his twitter-like Weibo account.

The spy shots show that the MPV rides on a chassis installed higher than that of a common car, while lower than an SUV. The power sliding doors match the model's high-end position.

According to Zhao's Weibo post, the new MPV model will adopt a 2-2-3 seating arrangement with an overall seating space larger than that of a conventional oil-fueled model. The rear bench seat can lay flat to allow passengers to have a rest. The ample cargo space also contributes to a great space utilization rate.

Equipped with BYD's Blade Battery, the yet-to-be-launched MPV will come with two powertrain solutions—EV pure electric) and hybrid electric—for consumers with different needs.

BYD Auto Industry Company Limited, a subsidiary of BYD Company Limited, and Daimler Greater China Limited, signed in Dec. 2021 an agreement, under which the former will have a 90% stake in DENZA New Energy. Although the deal is supposed to be closed in mid-2022, BYD Auto Industry has already set up a wholly-owned sales service subsidiary for the DENZA brand, indicating that the Chinese automaker resolves to revive the premium brand at a faster pace.
