Beijing (ZXZC)- In May 2023, Changan Automobile’s new energy vehicle-dedicated brand, Deepal, delivered 7,021 units of the SL03 sedan, according to the automaker’s announcement issued today.

Compared to the previous month, Deepal’s May deliveries notched down 9.48%. In the first five months of this year, the automaker’s cumulative delivery volume amounted to 33,585 vehicles. 

On May 20, Deepal officially commenced pre-orders for its second production model and first mid-size SUV, the Deepal S7, with an official pre-order price of 169,900 yuan to 239,900 yuan. 

The Deepal S7 is powered by the EPA1 digital platform. The pure electric version provides a CLTC range of 520/620 km with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in as low as 6.7 seconds and energy consumption as low as 14.2 kWh/100 km. Meanwhile, the extended-range version achieves a combined CLTC fuel consumption of as low as 4.95 L/100 km, with a pure electric range of up to 200 km.

According to Deepal, the S7 has successfully rolled out at the Changan Automobile’s Nanjing factory. The vehicles are now on route to the automaker’s sales stores nationwide.
