SKF has been cooperating with Changshan for over 20 years. As early as 1999, SKF's subsidiary brand, PEER, invested in establishing a factory in Changshan county. In 2017, SKF started building there a production factory, whose Phase I project was completed in 2019 and the Phase II officially commenced construction in 2022.

In the construction of Phase II, SKF continues to increase investment in low-carbon operations within the plant area, and will actively introduce energy-saving measures such as green electricity and photovoltaics.

During the celebratory ceremony, SKF signed strategic cooperation agreements with two Chinese partners, FAMSUN Group Co., Ltd. and SEW-Eurodrive (China) Holding Co., Ltd., to make joint efforts to accelerate high-quality upgrades across multiple industries.

FAMSUN is a leading provider of comprehensive agricultural and livestock industry chain solutions in China and also a long-term partner of SKF. The two parties will explore more collaboration opportunities in the application of existing products and the development of new-generation high-performance products, providing comprehensive products, advanced solutions, and further enhance local supply levels and efficiency.

SEW has a solid foundation of cooperation with SKF globally. With a shared commitment to product innovation and technological upgrades, they will jointly undertake a test bench project for the application of internal bearings in gearboxes, deepening their technical cooperation in the field of gearbox applications.
