According to XPeng, the company delivered 6,225 intelligent EVs in the second month of 2022, increasing 180% from a year ago. During the month, the company’s intelligent sports sedan, the P7, drove the company’s sales, with 3,537 vehicles delivered, up 151% year on year. Meanwhile, the deliveries of Xpeng’s P5 model amounted to 2,059 vehicles, resulting in a cumulative delivery volume of 13,953 vehicles since the P5 debuted in September 2021.
Last but not least, the company delivered 629 units of its G3 and G3i SUVs in February.
According to XPeng, the upgrade on its Zhaoqing plant, which was scheduled during the Chinese New Year holiday, was completed. Production at the plant has resumed in mid-February as planned. The upgrades allowed XPeng to fast-track its backlog delivery on hand.
Notably, XPeng has made several accomplishments in February. First of all, the company was added to the Shenzhen-Hong Kong and Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, allowing Chinese Mainland investors to trade eligible Hong Kong shares of XPeng.
Moreover, the company has also inked strategic agreements with two renowned European automobile retailers in the Netherlands and Sweden.
