Beijing (ZXZC)- Hesai Technology, a leading Chinese LiDAR manufacturer, announced on May 15 that it has been granted the ISO/SAE 21434 certification for automotive cybersecurity management systems by TÜV Rheinland, an international third-party testing and certification organization.

Therefore, Hesai has become the first company in the LiDAR industry to receive this certification, showcasing its exceptional capabilities in system development and vehicle-level security.

The ISO/SAE 21434 standard, jointly developed by ISO and SAE, covers all stages of the product lifecycle, including concept, development, production, operation, and scrapping. It assists automakers and related suppliers in comprehensive management of cybersecurity risks in vehicles on roads, ensuring compliance with global regulations for automotive cybersecurity management.

As an automotive LiDAR maker, Hesai has always placed great emphasis on building a robust cybersecurity system. The company has established a dedicated cybersecurity team and implemented comprehensive cybersecurity management strategies. 

The company's product development process strictly adheres to various international and domestic standards, including ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, establishing a cybersecurity management system for the entire lifecycle of LiDAR products. 

Hesai employs multiple core technologies such as data signing, encryption, and client authentication to ensure secure booting, secure upgrading, secure operation, and secure data storage of its LiDAR systems, preventing data tampering or counterfeit LiDAR devices.
