Chery Holding's monthly sales exceed 100,000 units for 11 straight months by Apr. 2023

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chery Holding today announced a monthly sales volume of 126,700 vehicles for the month of Apr. 2023, which represented a 128% surge from the previous year.

As of Apr. 2023, Chery Holding had seen its monthly sales exceed 100,000 units for the 11th month in a row.

For the first four months of this year, Chery Holding sold roughly 457,048 vehicles in total, a year-on-year leap of 60.4%.

As for the sales performance of each brand, Chery brand sold 92,252 vehicles (+120.3% YoY) last month, resulting in a year-to-date volume of around 330,385 units (+54.4% YoY). EXCEED sold 24,368 vehicles (+98.7% YoY) through the Jan.-Apr. period, 8,102 units (+339.6% YoY) of which were sold in Apr. In addition, there were 19,005 JETOUR-branded vehicles (+145.7% YoY) sold last month, indicating the brand’s year-to-date sales amounted to 70,953 units (+105.7% YoY).

In Apr., the group had three models whose monthly sales all surpassed 10,000 units, namely, the Tiggo 8 (15,037 units), the Tiggo 7 (18,715 units), and the JETOUR X70 (11,834 units).

On April 7th, Chery Auto announced its new energy vehicle (NEV) strategy, declaring that all of its brands will be fully electrified, utilizing multiple technology routes such as hybrid, range-extended, pure electric, and hydrogen fuel cell. Its first NEV brand, iCAR, was launched at the same time.

At the iCAR Brand Night held on Apr. 16, two models under the iCAR brand, the iCAR GT and the iCAR 03, made their world's debut. The automaker said iCAR will provide intelligent driving experiences in a variety of scenarios with the i-MS multi-dimensional NEV architecture and i-VA ecology.
