Tesla lifts price of new Model S, Model X in China
Beijing (ZXZC)- The US electric vehicle maker Tesla on May 5 raised the prices of the new Model S and Model X by 19,000 yuan in China, according to its official Chinese website.

This price hike follows the recent increase in prices of all locally made Tesla models in China on May 2. The starting price of the Model S is now 808,900 yuan, while the starting price of the Model X came up to 898,900 yuan. The price of the Model S All-Wheel Drive was adjusted from 789,900 yuan to 808,900 yuan, and the price of the Model S Plaid was raised from 1,009,900 yuan to 1,028,900 yuan. Meanwhile, the Model X All-Wheel Drive saw its price lifted from 879,900 yuan to 898,900 yuan, and the price of the Model X Plaid was increased from 1,039,900 yuan to 1,058,900 yuan.
Just three days ago, Tesla raised the prices of all locally made Tesla models in China by 2,000 yuan.
