Former president of Wanda Auto reportedly takes on as head of marketing at HiPhi
Beijing (ZXZC)- Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group's automotive arm, Wanda Auto, has seen a change in personnel as Li Hongpeng, who joined the company just a year ago, has reportedly left his role and joined luxury electric vehicle brand HiPhi.

According to a representative from HiPhi, Li has indeed joined the company and would be in charge of the luxury brand's marketing and business operations.
Li Hongpeng brings with him over 30 years of experience in the industry, having previously held executive positions at well-known automakers such as BAIC Group, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, and Hyundai. The industry veteran accumulated rich practical experience and business management skills during his career. In January 2022, Li Hongpeng officially joined Wanda Auto Technology Service Co., Ltd. as president, in charge of the company’s diverse business operations.
On the other hand, HiPhi recently kicked off the launch of its overseas strategy, with plans to enter the European and Middle Eastern markets. Starting with Munich and Oslo, the company’s two existing models, the HiPhi X and HiPhi Z, are expected to be sold in Europe from the third quarter of this year, with deliveries to take place later in the year.
Pre-orders for the luxury EV maker’s third model, the HiPhi Y, are expected to begin at the end of 2023, with deliveries in Europe starting in 2024.
