Genesis begins presale of G90, G90 Long Wheelbase, GV70 in China
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On Apr. 18, the luxury auto brand Genesis premiered its flagship Genesis G90 and G90 Long Wheelbase sedans, and the GV70 mid-size SUV at Auto Shanghai 2023.
“Today’s premiere of the Genesis G90, G90 Long Wheelbase and GV70 complements the six vehicles we have previously introduced, expanding the breadth of our product portfolio across segments and allowing us to meet more customers’ needs,” said Markus Henne, Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Motor China.
Notably, presale of the Genesis G90, G90 Long Wheelbase and GV70 kicked off in China at the same time.
Since entering China two years ago, Genesis has launched six award-winning imported vehicles and opened 15 Genesis outlets across the country, said the automaker. At the Auto Shanghai 2023, Genesis further completed its lineup with the premieres of the aforesaid three models. All are available for pre-sale with Luxury and Ultimate Luxury trims under the brand’s two-trim strategy, with prices for the Genesis G90 Luxury and Ultimate Luxury indicatively starting from 718,000 yuan to 868,000 yuan, the Genesis G90 Long Wheelbase starting at 1,188,000 yuan, and the GV70 Luxury and Ultimate Luxury indicatively priced at 338,000 yuan and 418,000 yuan, respectively.

The Genesis G90 is Genesis’s flagship luxury sedan. Its exterior design with Genesis’s signature Crest Grille provides the most elegant interpretation of Genesis’s design identity, with slim Two Line wrap-around headlamps. The vehicle’s interior is immersive, with features including dynamic lighting and best-in-class NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) performance, the company added.

The G90’s elongated counterpart, the Genesis G90 Long Wheelbase, is built with a dynamic profile on an extended wheelbase, allowing for additional interior space. The cabin has ergo-relaxing seats at a 45° angle with massage functionality.

The Genesis GV70 boasts a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.1 seconds, thanks to its class-leading 2.5T, 304-horsepower engine. It comes fully equipped with Genesis Active Safety Control and an optional 15-speaker lexicon sound system.
Genesis said it has been continuing expansion of network to better serve customers across China. The brand’s customer-centric approach in China revolves around its Genesis Studios and Showcases. Genesis Studios bring the unique Genesis Experience to life, manifesting the brand’s design philosophy and thoughtful hospitality, and Genesis Showcases provide settings for guests to experience Genesis vehicles and access after-sale services.
Genesis had opened 14 Genesis Studios and Genesis Showcases in 10 cities as of the end of 2022, covering all major regions of the country. At Auto Shanghai 2023, the automaker noted it plans to open ten new outlets over the course of 2023, bringing the total to 24.
