Chery Holding’s Mar. 2023 auto sales surge 52.7% YoY

Beijing (ZXZC)- Chinese major automaker Chery Holding announced that its monthly deliveries reach 124,954 vehicles in March 2023, which surged 52.7% from a year ago and jumped 20.3% from the previous month.

According to Chery Holding, March marked the tenth consecutive month for the company to sell over 100,000 vehicles. In the first quarter of this year, the automaker’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 330,335 vehicles, hiking up 44.1% year on year. 

Chery Holding went against the general market climate and achieved record-high quarterly sales volume in the Jan.-Mar. period this year. 

Brand wise, the Chery brand sold 89,157 vehicles in March, representing a 47.9% spike year-on-year, and resulting in a cumulative volume of 238,133 vehicles in the first quarter of this year. 

Meanwhile, the EXEED brand saw its March auto sales shoot up 92.2% from a year ago to 6,458 units. In the first three month of 2023, EXEED’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 16,266 vehicles, up 56.1% year over year.

As to the JETOUR SUV-dedicated brand, its March sales went up 95% from the prior-year period to 19,507 units. In the first quarter, the brand sold a total of 51,948 vehicles, indicating a 94.2% soar compared to a year ago. 

In addition, the three popular SUV models, namely the Tiggo 8, Tiggo 7, and the JETOUR X70 all have over 10,000 vehicles sold in the past month, which came in at 19,537 units, 18,734 units, and 13,480 units, respectively.
