Chinese communications chip supplier CMIND-SEMI closes Pre-A+ funding round

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese communications chip supplier CMIND-SEMI recently announced the completion of its Pre-A+ financing round, which was led by China Creation Ventures, and also attracted some existing investors like Walden International and Legend Capital, according to a post on CMIND-SEMI’s WeChat account.

The proceeds raised in this round will mainly be used for the industrialization of the company's 4G-enabled chips and the R&D of its 5G chip products.

The latest move marked the third financing rounds the company closed over the past year.

CMIND-SEMI was established in 2021 and is headquartered in Hengqin island, Zhuhai city, Guangdong Province. It has set up product R&D centers in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xi’an, Shenzhen cities, and some regions outside of China. Its team consists of professionals from leading domestic and international communications companies, with most core members having more than 15 years of experience in R&D of cellular communications chips.

CMIND-SEMI focuses on providing advanced 4G- and 5G-enabled wireless communications chips and integrated solutions, aiming to becoming a new global leader in intelligent connectivity chip technology, said the company. Its product planning covers the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Vehicles (IoV: Modem/T-BOX/C-V2X), and smartphone markets.
