Shanghai (ZXZC)- ECARX Holdings ("ECARX"), a mobility tech provider Geely Holding's Chairman Eric Li, announced on Mar. 7 that its Chairman and CEO, Shen Ziyu, will additionally assume the position of CEO and Chairman of Xingji Meizu Group (“Xingji Meizu”), while retaining his role in and his commitment to ECARX.

The company said this appointment is expected to optimize synergies between ECARX and Xingji Meizu as they plan to work together more closely.

Xingji Meizu, the newly combined entity following the business consolidation between Meizu Technology Co., Ltd (“Meizu Technology”) and Hubei Xingjishidai Technology Co., Ltd. ("Xingji Technology”), will be dedicated to developing full-stack consumer technology products by leveraging the extensive expertise of the two companies.

With ECARX’s continuous focus on providing B2B hardware and software solutions for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, and Xingji Meizu’s dedication to consumer audiences, the two companies expect to achieve synergies that enable the seamless joint development of software optimized for smartphones and automobiles.

In addition to his roles as Chairman and CEO of ECARX and Xingji Meizu, Mr. Shen will also be named as Vice Chairman of Xingji Meizu’s holding company, Dream Smart, which was co-founded by Eric Li and Shen Ziyu.

Headquartered in Wuhan, Xingji Meizu was established on Mar. 8, 2023. It will draw on the competitive advantages of both Xingji Technology and Meizu Technology to focus on the full-chain innovation of consumer technology, covering smartphones, XR virtual reality technology, self-developed operating system, wearable intelligent devices, smart home and lifestyle.
