Tesla’s flagship store on JD.com opens for business

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Tesla’s online flagship retail shop based on JD.com’s platform came online on Feb. 14, said the Chinese e-commerce giant.

To celebrate the new store’s inauguration, Tesla allows users who pass the identity confirmation to claim a 201 yuan worth of coupon between Feb. 13 and Feb. 15, to get a discount on Tesla’s third-generation home-charging service package.

The new online store is not set up for car purchase, but users can browse and buy multiple services, accessories, and peripheral products, such as the third-generation home-charging service package, Tesla USB drives, TeslaMic wireless microphones, S3XY mugs, Cyberwhistle, as well as the glass roof sunshades, durable fabric trunk mats, and trunk storage boxes dedicated to the Model Y.

There are also some rather peculiar products, such as "My First Model Y" children's walker, wire organizers shaped like superchargers, as well as some clothing products.

JD.com stated that Tesla's official flagship store covers the entire product line, including charging products, preferred accessories, selected clothing, and peripheral products. JD Auto will use this as a starting point to collaborate with Tesla on online and offline linkage services, promote and advertise cultural and creative products, peripheral products, and continue to conduct in-depth cooperation in warehousing, distribution, and charging station installation.
