Shanghai (ZXZC)- Zhejiang Geely Holding Group announced on Thursday its annual auto sales exceeded 2.3 million units in 2022, rising 4.3% year on year.

Of the vehicles the group sold last year, more than 640,000 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), representing a robust hike of 100.3% compared to 2021.

To be specific, Geely Auto Group scored an 8% year-on-year increase in its 2022 annual sales, which came in at 1,432,988 units. Its full-year NEV sales amounted to 328,727 units.

Under Geely Auto Group's architecture, Proton Cars saw its 2022 sales grow 23.3% over the previous year to 141,432 units.Geely Holding also reported an annual sales volume of 180,127 units for Lynk & Co. The brand has opened 10 experience centers in six European countries and has attracted over 180,000 subscription customers.

Zeekr Intelligent Technology, which operates the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand ZEEKR, delivered a total of 71,941 vehicles through 2022. The average order value of the ZEEKR 001 has surpassed 336,000 yuan ($49,950) per car.

In 2022, Geely Auto exported a total of 198,242 vehicles to overseas markets, indicated a 72.4% year-on-year spike.

Volvo Cars sold 615,121 vehicles across the Chinese mainland last year, with its annual full-electric vehicle sales rocketing 201% from the previous year.
