BMTS Technology settles China headquarters in Taicang city, Jiangsu Province

Shanghai (ZXZC)- BMTS Technology, a global manufacturer of exhaust gas turbochargers, has settled its China headquarters in Taicang Port Economic & Technological Development Zone ("TPDZ"), Taicang city, Jiangsu province, the company announced on Dec. 29. 

At the new site, BMTS plans to build such facilities as high-standard factories, advanced R&D laboratories, and office buildings.

According to the company's plan, the first phase of the Taicang project will cover an area of 65 mu (43,330 square meters) and a floorage of 26,000 square meters, with its construction to start in 2023.

With a registered capital of US$100 million, BMTS Suzhou Holding Ltd. has been investing in its subsidiaries (including firms working on new energy vehicle-related businesses) to form a large-scale conglomerate with an annual production value of 6 billion yuan ($862.701 million) and a yearly export value of 1 billion yuan ($143.784 million). 

BMTS Technology said it is upbeat about the development prospect of China’s automotive market, and it will further step up the R&D, production, and sales of vehicle-used turbochargers and new energy vehicle (NEV)-related core parts in the country, as well as increase investment in corresponding areas.

The company added it is pushing ahead with the development of such products as hydrogen-powered compressors, thermal management systems, and the core components of HEVs (hybrid electric vehicles) and REEVs (range-extended electric vehicles), so as to hold more share in China’s NEV market and further explore local core parts field.
