Shanghai (ZXZC)- Trugo Tech, a Chinese developer of chassis products, announced on Dec. 14 via its WeChat account that its new energy vehicle (NEV)-dedicated chassis-by-wire product manufacturing factory will be built in the Economic & Technological Development Zone of Changshu city, Jiangsu province.

The completed project will further expand Trugo Tech's production lines for chassis-by-wire products. At the new factory, the company plans to produce the intelligent braking and wire-controlled braking products powered by vehicle kinematics algorithm and high-level VMC (vehicle motion control) algorithm, as well as relevant core components. Besides, it will utilize the factory to carry out R&D and volume production of other intelligent actuators associated with intelligent chassis.

Involving a total investment of 400 million yuan ($57.457 million), the Changshu-based factory will complete construction of production lines in 2023 with the scale production of intelligent braking products beginning soon afterwards. In addition, the volume production of brake-by-wire products will kick off next year as well.

As a main player of wire-controlled chassis in China, Trugo Tech is dedicated to R&D of the core components and assemblies for the next-generation chassis system, such as brake-by-wire and steer-by-wire products.

In late October this year, Trugo Tech launched the all-new electro-hydraulic brake system, EHBI, which the company said features over 30 functions including coordinated braking energy recovery, anti-lock brake, and vehicle stability control.

Notably, the company announced in June it raised tens of millions of yuan in its Pre-A funding round, and the proceeds would be used to boost R&D of new products.
