Baidu Apollo's Robotaxi ride orders surge 311% YoY in Q3 2022
Beijing (ZXZC)- On November 22, China’s tech giant Baidu released its unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2022.

In the Jul.-Sept. period, Baidu’s quarterly revenue amounted to 32.54 billion yuan ($4.55 billion), up 2% year over year. Moreover, the non-GAAP net income to Baidu came in at 5.89 billion yuan ($823.33 million), jumping 16% from a year ago.
As to the automotive-related fields, Baidu has successfully deployed its ACE smart transportation solutions to 63 cities in by the end of the third quarter.
On the other hand, Baidu disclosed that, Apollo, the company’s automotive intelligence unit is currently in a further deepened relationship with one of China’s largest automotive technology companies. Apollo and the unnamed automaker are working on deploying Baidu’s ANP, AVP, and high-precision map functions onto one of the automaker’s most popular vehicle models.
Meanwhile, the company’s Apollo Go autonomous driving ride-hailing service (Robotaxi) platform is also rapidly progressing. In the past quarter, Apollo Go completed over 474,000 ride orders, representing a 311% hike year on year and a 65% surge quarter over quarter. By the end of September 2022, the cumulative service orders of Apollo Go reached 1.4 million in total.
