The launch of the Haval H6 HEV, which is the first HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) model assembled locally in Pakistan, marks an important milestone in GWM's deployment in the Pakistani new energy vehicle (NEV) market and a significant step towards the company's implementation of its global strategy.
GWM revealed it plans to introduce the Haval H6 PHEV into Pakistan in the future to provide local consumers more NEV options.
“GWM resolves to take a deep root in Pakistan,” said Shi Qingke, vice president of GWM. In October last year, the Haval H6 and the Haval JOLION hit the Pakistani market as imported complete vehicle models. In September this year, GWM started operation at its KD assembly factory in Pakistan, as part of efforts to improve its product cost effectiveness for local users.
In October, GWM's monthly sales of overseas markets hit a new high of around 21,000 units. Notably, the company's Oct. sales in Australia surged 45.5% year on year. In Thailand, GWM had cumulatively delivered over 12,000 vehicles by the end of Oct. 2022.
For the first ten months of 2022, GWM sold about 133,000 vehicles abroad, representing an 18.55% year-on-year growth.
