Upon passing the auto-grade validation, Giantec Semiconductor plans to successively deploy the NOR Flash chip for automotive applications.

According to the company, the NOR Flash 512Kb / 1Mb / 2Mb / 4Mb / 8Mb / 16Mb / 32Mb capacity products are fully designed in compliance to automotive specifications. The first batch of the 512Kb / 1Mb / 2Mb / 4Mb products was granted the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 certificate issued by a third-party authority.

By virtue of its technical accumulation and customer base in the EEPROM field, Giantec Semiconductor has expanded its operations into the field of NOR Flash for the latter’s certain degree of technical commonality.

Based on the company’s unique NORD process platform, Giantec Semiconductor came up with NOR Flash products with independent intellectual property rights. Compared with similar products in the market, Giantec Semiconductor’s chips offer more reliable performance and stronger temperature adaptability. For example, the chips’ number of erasable times has been increased to more than 200,000 times, the data retention time is longer than 50 yyears, and the adaptive temperature range can reach -40℃-125℃, with a 6.5KV ESD.
