Today Geely Automobile Holdings Limited announced improved financial results last year.

In 2021, its revenue jumped 10.3% year over year to RMB101.6 billion $15.9 billion). The company’s profit for the year was RMB4.35 billion $683 million) while the profit attributable to its equity holders amounted to RMB4.85 billion $761 million).

Its cash and cash equivalents at the end of the year stood at RMB28 billion $4.4 billion) while its free cash flow hit a best-ever level of RMB20.8 billion. The basic earnings per share is RMB0.48. The company proposed the payment of a final dividend of HK$0.21 per ordinary share for the year.

Its revenues mainly came from sales of automobiles and related services, which contributed RMB87.7 billion, an increase of 4.63% from a year earlier, and accounted for 86.32% of the company’s total revenues. Last year, the automaker sold 1,328,029 new vehicles, representing a slight increase of 1%.

Besides, sales of automobile parts and components totaled RMB8.8 billion while the sales of battery packs and related parts reached RMB589 million.

It’s worth noting that revenues from research and development and related technological support services, and licensing of intellectual properties achieved better growth rate than vehicle and parts sales. The company pointed out that the licensing had become its new profit growth point.
