The HT-i adopts a massive frameless matrix grille coupled with slender headlight strips. According to the automaker, the front adopts a fire-new aesthetic design idea “Gravitational Wave”, which will be applied in all models of SKYWORTH Auto in the future.

The side profile features a boxy styling with several straight character lines. Moving to the rear, the HT-i carries the trendy through-the-round taillights.

As for the powertrain, the biggest bright spot is the adoption of BYD's 1.5L Xiaoyun engine specifically built for the DM-i hybrid technology, which can deliver a thermal efficiency of up to 43.04%, a maximum power of 81kW, and a peak torque of 135 N·m. Besides, the HT-i PHEV is also armed with the EHS electric hybrid system developed by BYD as well, which allows a battery-only range of up to 200km, a combined range of 1,267km, and a fuel consumption of only 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers when running out of electric power.
