JIDU launches limited ROBO-01 Lunar Edition priced at 399,800 yuan
Beijing (ZXZC)- JIDU, the intelligent electric vehicle company backed by Baidu and Geely, officially launched its first robocar, the ROBO-01 Lunar Edition on Oct 27.

The ROBO-01 Lunar Edition is a collaborative model with the China’s Lunar Exploration Project. Coming with a limited availability of 1,000 units, the model is priced at 399,800 yuan ($55,250). According to the company, with its first 1,000-unit supply already reserved out, it decided to add another 1,000 slots for reservation of the collaborative model.
The ROBO-01 Lunar Edition holds advanced vehicle parameters and space performance in its segment. The robocar measures 4,853mm long, 1,990mm wide, 1,611mm high, with a wheelbase that spans 3,000mm, providing a comfortable interior space while achieving a dynamic posture. The trunk offers up to 555L of standard storage space, which can be expanded to 1,528L with the rear-row seats laid down.

Building on Geely’s SEA platform, the robocar is equipped with a 100kWh ternary lithium battery pack from CATL, allowing a range of over 600km.
Notably, aside from the vehicle launch, JIDU also introduced its Point-to-Point Autopilot (PPA) advanced intelligent driving system, a high-level intelligent driving solution designed to handle highways, urban streets, and parking scenarios. Currently, JIDU has been conducting scenario generalization of advanced intelligent driving in Beijing and Shanghai, and will ensure that the official PPA will gradually cover the core cities in China.
