Beijing (ZXZC)- On October 18, Huawei’s auto partner, SERES Auto, inked a strategic framework agreement with Wencan Group, a Chinese automotive die casting company in the new energy vehicle field.

According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a strategic cooperative relationship in the lightweight R&D, new material applications, and auto parts supply of new energy vehicles’ integrated structural parts, integrated battery boxes, and electric control, electric motor, and battery products.

With twenty years of car manufacturing experience and complete vehicle capability, SERES Auto has launched several high-end intelligent electric vehicles such as the AITO M5 and M7 cooperated with. 

Established in 1998, Wencan Group is a leading die casting enterprise in the R&D, production, and sales of automotive aluminum alloy precision die casting products. The company’s products are mainly used in engine system, gearbox system, chassis system, brake system, body structure parts, and other automotive parts of medium-and high-end automobiles. It has also made great achievements in the production efficiency, cost control, safety, and integrated casting of new energy vehicles.

The cooperation with Wencan Group will further consolidate SERES Auto’s supply chain and improve its product quality. In the future, the two companies will officially launch new cooperation projects regarding parts and components, invest in new production capacity projects, and build a new production base in Chongqing city.
