WEY’s first six-seater smart electric SUV unveiled

Great Wall Motor’s WEY brand unveiled its first six-seater large smart electric SUV model, the WEY 80, on October 14. The model is positioned as WEY’s all-new flagship model adopting a new naming pattern with brand name and a number. The new model is estimated to be priced in the range of 350,000-400,000 yuan.

Huawei, Luxshare Precision’s joint automotive patent accredited 

According to China’s corporate database, Tianyancha, a patent filed by Huawei and Luxshare Precision, labeled “a utility model relates to an automobile high-speed connector assembly”, gained authorization on October 14. The invention improves the connection stability of automotive high-speed connector assemblies. 

FAW-Volkswagen to recall roughly 44,000 vehicles

FAW-Volkswagen has filed a recall plan with China’s State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting November 21, it will recall some Sagitar vehicles produced between December 14, 2021 and April 17, 2022, totaling 37,024 units, and some Bora vehicles produced between December 10, 2021 and February 18, 2022, totaling 7,342 units.
