Dongfeng Motor Group sales up 13.6% YoY in August 2022
Beijing (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Motor Group) sold 209,578 vehicles in August 2022, representing a 13.6% increase from a year ago.

In the first eight months of this year, the group’s cumulative sales volume reached 1,682,166 vehicles, notching down 6.61% year over year.
In the passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Motor Group sold 191,099 vehicles in August, up 20.89% from the previous year, but down 11.6% from a month earlier.
Notably, the group’s premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, VOYAH, delivered 2,429 vehicles in the past month, jumping 35% over the previous month and shooting up 295% year over year, signifying the brand’s consecutively rapid growth for three months since June this year.
Since VOYAH kicked off delivery for the first time in August 2021, the young brand has delivered 17,891 vehicles to users in China so far. By the end of August this year, VOYAH has opened up 104 VOYAH Spaces across the country, along with 26 delivery centers. The brand’s sales network has branched out to 71 Chinese cities.
As to the group’s joint venture brands, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sold 10,084 vehicles in the eighth month of 2022, resulting in a cumulative sales volume of 76,479 vehicles (+42.18% YoY) in the first eight months of the year, surging 42.18% year over year.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands) sold 104,588 vehicles in August, resulting in a year-to-date sales volume of 769,486 vehicles by the end of the month.
Lastly, Dongfeng Honda saw a 26.93% year-on-year increase in August sales, which came in at 50,989 vehicles. In the Jan.-Aug. period, the joint venture sold 467,956 vehicles in total.
