Signing the agreement with Emil Frey signified a milestone on GWM's way to Europe, and the partnership will make European users enjoy WEY and ORA brands' products and services as early as possible, said Meng Xiangjun, GWM's head of the European Market.

GWM plans to start delivering vehicles to European consumers in the fourth quarter of this year. In the future, the duo will extend their cooperative operations to other countries in Europe.

Founded in 1924, Emil Frey has grown to be a leading European car dealer group with diversified businesses in automobile distribution and retail. It will provide ORA with professional knowledge of import, distribution, logistics, and after-sale service, and support WEY in operating innovative marketing mode.

In November 2021, Great Wall Motor opened its European headquarters in Munich as part of its plan to expand in the region.
