Nissan Motor's China sales up 4.6% YoY in July

Beijing (ZXZC)- In July, Nissan Motor saw its China monthly sales recover from the slump with a year-on-year increase.

In the seventh month of 2022, Nissan Motor sold 100,203 vehicles in China, edging up 4.6% year over year. For the first seven months of the year, Nissan Motor’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 646,223 vehicles in the country, indicating a 19.4% decrease from a year ago.

In July, Nissan Motor’s passenger vehicle joint venture, Dongfeng Motor Co. & Ltd. (DFL), sold 86,474 vehicles (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands), representing a 7.5% increase compared to the same period in 2021. From January to July, the cumulative sales volume of DFL summed up to 535,280 vehicles, down 18.4% year on year.

To be specific, the Nissan brand sold 76,006 vehicles last month, moving up 4% from a year ago. In the meantime, the Venucia brand sold 10,009 vehicles, surging 60% from the year-ago period, adding up to a total of 54,694 vehicles sold in the first seven months of this year. 

Additionally, Nissan Motor sold 13,729 light trucks in July in the Chinese market, slipping down 10.6% from the previous year. In the past seven months of 2022, its accumulative sales volume amounted to 110,943 vehicles, down 24% year over year.
