Dongfeng's AEOLUS, DPCA see drastic growth in Q1 sales
Dongfeng Motor’s AEOLUS and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën both achieved significant growth in quarterly sales in the first three months of 2022, with AEOLUS refreshing its same period sales record, Dongfeng Motor announced on April 1st.

In March, AEOLUS Dongfeng Fengshen) sold 15,712 vehicles, which more than doubled from a year ago, at 123%, setting a new record for the brand’s March sales. From January to March, the accumulative sales volume of AEOLUS amounted to 45,890 vehicles, soaring 165% year over year. Moreover, the brand’s quarterly sales volume has surpassed the collective sales volume of the first half of 2021, refreshing the brand’s historic Q1 sales record.
In 2021, AEOLUS set and completed its annual sales target of 120,000 vehicles, with 122,000 vehicles sold, surging 73% year over year. In 2022, Dongfeng Motor appointed a bigger goal to its wholly-owned passenger vehicle brand of selling 200,000 vehicles yearly. By the end of the first quarter, AEOLUS has completed 22.94% of the said target, which is considered impressive with February being the bleakest month within the year.
On the other hand, Dongfeng Motor’s jointly owned brand, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën, sold 31,480 vehicles from January to March, increasing 79% from a year ago. The brand has seen positive growth for 16 consecutive months so far.
