XPeng reports highest monthly, quarterly, H1 deliveries among Chinese auto startups
Beijing (ZXZC)- In the second quarter of 2022, China’s electric vehicle startup XPeng delivered the most vehicles among all domestic auto startups for the fourth consecutive quarter.
In June alone, XPeng delivered 15,295 vehicles, soaring 133% year over year. The P7 contributed the most as usual, with 8,045 vehicles delivered. The delivery volume of the P5 and the G3 amounted to 5,598 vehicles and 1,652 vehicles, respectively.
This concluded XPeng’s quarterly delivery record in the Apr.-Jun. period at a total of 34,422 vehicles.

In the first six months of the year, the cumulative delivery volume of the startup summed up to 68,983 vehicles, topping other auto startups in the country. XPeng said that the number is also 1.2 times higher than that of a year ago.
XPeng further commented that the company’s delivery scale has expanded since mid-May, as its Zhaoqing factory started dual-shift production mode. In June, XPeng’s historic cumulative delivery volume has officially surpassed the 200,000-vehicle mark.
In the meantime, the development of the startup’s G9 flagship model and urban NGP function are also underway and on track.
The G9 was already included in the catalogue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The model can be expected for presale in August, and hit the market in September.
