Geely Auto sees March sales volume up by 1% YoY
China’s major automaker, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited Geely Auto saw remarkable growth in the sales volume of its pure-electric brand, Geometry, in March, the automaker reported on April 7th.

In the third month of 2022, Geely Auto sold a total of 101,166 vehicles, edging up 1% from a year ago. During the first quarter of 2022, the accumulative sales volume of the automaker amounted to 326,024 vehicles, representing a 2% decline year over year.
To be specific, the Geely brand sold 83,796 vehicles in March, remaining flat from a year ago. Notably, the group’s EV brand Geometry managed to quadruple its monthly sales to 8,097 vehicles, with a 334% year-on-year change.
Meanwhile, Geely Auto’s jointly owned brand with Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co, saw a 17% year-over-year decrease with 13,567 vehicles sold. For the first three months of 2022, the accumulative sales volume of the brand summed up to 42,425 vehicles, down 21% from a year ago.
In March, Geely Auto’s high-end EV brand, ZEEKR, delivered 1,795 ZEEKR 001s, dropping 38.44% from February. The cumulative delivery volume of the brand amounted to 8,241 vehicles by the end of March this year.
Moreover, the automaker’s jointly owned brand with Lifan Auto, Livan Auto, sold 2,008 vehicles in March, representing a 24% increase from the earlier month.
Additionally, the group sold 14,166 new energy vehicles in March, soaring 290% year over year.
However, the export volume of the group narrowed from a month ago to 7,788 vehicles. By the end of March, Geely Auto has exported 31,529 vehicles overseas, up 15% compared to 2021.
