In order to include as many customers and media to experience its innovations as possible, the launch will be held offline with live streaming.

Up to now, Li Auto’s Changzhou manufacturing base has put over a thousand L9s into production. In July, the mass-produced vehicles will be gradually shipped to the 233 retail centers that Li Auto holds in 108 Chinese cities, allowing users who placed preorders to physically test out the L9 before purchase with higher priority than walk-in customers.

The startup disclosed that the mass production preparations are in place, and the addition of its own supply system will significantly improve Li Auto’s efficiency in production and delivery for the L9. Specifically, the model’s range extender is developed and manufactured by Li Auto’s subsidiary Sichuan Li Xinchen Technology, while the battery cells are produced at Li Auto and CATL’s jointly owned production lines.

Thanks to the stellar delivery performance Li Auto achieved with the Li ONE model, many core suppliers have built factories adjacent to Li Auto’s manufacturing base in Jiangsu province, the startup added. Li Auto has also poured in several billions of yuan and massive R&D personnel in reinforcing the efficiency and controllability of the supply chain.
