AVATR is a young new energy vehicle startup backed by the ICT giant HUAWEI, auto group Changan Automobile, and battery player CATL.

As the only auto brand to adopt the Huawei Inside full-stack intelligent automotive solution, AVATR’s creation is deeply entangled with HUAWEI regarding intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, and application system development.

AVATR’s vehicles will be produced in Changan Automobile’s Chongqing Yuzui manufacturing base. The plant’s smart and flexible production lines can output a maximum capacity of 350,000 vehicles annually.

As for means of distribution, AVATR will adopt a diversified distribution model that focuses on building its own channels while working with partners to branch out. Notably, AVATR and HUAWEI are currently cooperating to put AVATR’s vehicles into HUAWEI’s stores.

The brand aims to open up its first store in the second quarter of 2022, and expand to 100 cities within the year.

Positioned as a technology-driven high-end lifestyle brand, AVATR strives for exploring the potential of a humane mobility experience. The brand proposed an “E.I. user demand theory” that defines its products with human emotions, coming up with an electric vehicle that truly understands its users.
