Gotion High-Tech, Geely Holding's CV unit ink agreement for battery supply
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Hefei Gotion High-Tech Power Energy Co.,Ltd. ("Hefei Gotion"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gotion High-Tech, and Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group ("GCV") have signed a strategic cooperation agreement under which the former will offer the latter around 126,000 sets of power batteries between 2022 and 2024, Gotion High-Tech announced on April 20 via its WeChat account.

Per the agreement, the power batteries to be procured from Gotion High-Tech will be used in the vans, light trucks, and range-extended electric vehicles under GCV.
The cooperation between Gotion High-Tech and GCV can date back to 2019, when both parties inked a framework agreement. Over the past several years, the duo have made joint efforts to conduct projects related to all-electric van, full-electric light truck, rang-extended light truck, as well pure electric bus.
In November, 2021, Gotion High-Tech joined hands with Farizon Auto, one of the brands under GCV, and other 10 enterprises to co-build the “China Zero-carbon Land transport Alliance”, aiming to jointly bolster the development of China's logistics industry regarding zero-carbon, intelligence, and operational efficiency.
For the first quarter of 2022, Gotion High-Tech recorded a power battery installed capacity of 2.57GWh, accounting for 5.01% of the country’s total volume and ranking 4th among power battery makers in China.
GCV is a commercial vehicle manufacturer wholly controlled by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. It has three brands at present, namely Farizon Auto, Hanma Technology, and Ou Ling Auto.
