Under the agreement, Cao Cao Mobility will adopt the Maple 60S, the first battery swappable vehicle model under Livan Autotomotive, to offer ride-hailing services nationwide.
In the meantime, Cao Cao Mobility launched two new services, dubbed “Cao Cao Zhuanche” and “Cao Cao Huixuan” respectively, both of which have gone into operation in Chongqing.
According to Gong Xin, CEO of Cao Cao Mobility, the “Cao Cao Zhuanche” is designed to offer users high-end ride-hailing service and seating experience with a wallet-friendly price, while the “Cao Cao Huixuan” targets a more affordable car-hailing service.
Mr. Gong revealed it had started trial operations of the two new services in several cities like Chongqing and Chengdu in Southwest China.
The CEO also noted that Cao Cao Mobility had already owned over 120 million registered users.
Established in 2015 and backed by Geely Technology Group, Cao Cao Mobility principally engages in offering green mobility services with new energy vehicles (NEVs). In September 2021, it announced it had closed the Series B funding with 3.8 billion yuan ($588.609 million) raised.
At the fundraising launching ceremony, Cao Cao Mobility announced a new strategy dubbed “N³”, which stands for three businesses Cao Cao would highlight, namely, New Car (tailor-made cars for ride-hailing service), New Power, and New Ecosystem. Under the new strategy, Cao Cao Mobility aims to hammer out an integrated development planning based on Geely's mobility ecosystem and Suzhou’s industrial ecosystem.
